With about forty thousand students and privileged in its geographical location, the University of Malaga (UMA) is renowned for its highly qualified teaching and research staff. UMA, together with the University of Seville (US), make up the Campus of International Excellence, ‘Andalucía Tech’, which works in leading areas of research and knowledge transfer and maintains strategic alliances with more than 150 companies. 

One of the major goals of the UMA is to transfer Artificial Intelligence to companies through strategic alliances in fields such as neurocomputing and computational learning. This is achieved through an experienced multidisciplinary research team with more than 30 years of continuous activity that includes both researchers from areas such as Computer Science, Computer Languages ​​and Systems, and Business Organization, as well as technical personnel to support infrastructures and media dissemination of research and development results.
